The O team has worked alongside Northumbrian Water Group for the past two years in bringing to life the week-long Festival of Innovation.
On both occasions, an integrated communication plan positioned NWG as a leader in innovative practice within the industry, both regionally and nationally. We achieved this by promoting knowledge of NWG’s innovation agenda amongst key stakeholders and through specialist press outreach, social media and film. We invited media guests and influential bloggers to the festivals, offering behind the scenes access and interview opportunities. We also partnered with Get Film to project manage and produce daily round-up films and five teaser films throughout the weeks. Producing a social content plan for the festivals, we ensured that there was a broad mix of activities featured. Our team were on the ground all week both in 2017 and 2018, collecting live, reactive content along with the Northumbrian Water team, which was then shared across social media. In the first year, the campaign was seen by over 43 million people across the UK and Northumbrian Water Group was praised by governing bodies, including OFWAT, for its innovative practices and the event was hailed an all-round huge success.
